Rejected loads – Non conforming loads
We have had a
number of materials that have been mis-described in the last year. Where the
material has to be rejected as a result of non-conformance / mis-description
then we will charge a £ 150 rejection
fee this is to cover our technical and our assessment costs. This price
includes the EA fees we pay them to notify them of the rejection.
If the waste is in
drums and containers we may advise it is non-conforming some time after receipt
If the drum has
solids in that we can process for incineration then the costs outlined in Liquids in Drums and containers containing
solids/ sludges/ residues – SURCHARGES will apply automatically – there is
no rejection fee in those cases.
If it requires
some other treatment or transfer to a third party then we may offer an
alternative price / disposal option or we may notify that we are rejecting.
Where we reject a
load a storage charge of £ 1 per
container up to 200 litres and £ 5 per IBC (1000 litres) per day will apply after 7 days from the date we advise non-conformance.
If after rejecting a load the containers are not collected after 2 months then
we will need to arrange safe disposal. This will be charged at disposal cost +
storage + rejected fee charged to your account.
