SURCHARGES
Liquids in Drums and containers containing
solids/ sludges/ residues
All flammable
solids from our site have been sent for High Temperature Incineration or for
further blending into support fuels for cement and lime kilns for the last few
years. We are also sending most oil based and other chemical solids for
Incineration rather than landfill.
The prices that we
are charged for these materials doubled in the last 12 months and are still
rising.
As a consequence
we have had to increase the price we charge for solid drums as per our price
list.
However we also
need to carefully account for any solids that we receive in liquid drums which
remain after we remove the pumpable portion/liquids. This information sheet
outlines the surcharges we have to make where solids/ sludges remain after
emptying the liquids.
We have
considerable handling, reporting and disposal costs for undertaking the
separation and therefore have to make the following charges.
